A Deal with the Underworld
*This is a dream from March 28 2025 ans still sticks with me after all this time*
My friend, Vlaai, died while he was visiting me from Belgium. We went to Wisconsin Dells, the water park capital of the United Stares. While there, my friend slipped, hit his head, and died. I was able to make a deal that I would work as a grim reaper and take souls to the underworld in exchange for lengthening his lifespan to 83 years.
The gate to the underworld would open if I made myself bleed (the wound would heal instantly). I was allowed to take living people there (like in Greek mythology) but they had to pay with a piece of themselves (like seeing Truth in Fullmetal Alchemist) and they were not guaranteed to make it in or out alive (pun intended).
There were multiple levels to the underworld to accommodate for all the possible afterlives. I got to see the one Christians call Hell, but in reality it was closer to Catholics Purgatory (because once the soul decided they didn't need eternal punishment or that they recieved enough, they could leave). The souls literally chose their afterlife, always had a choice to change it, and could even incarnate again.
One woman chose to incarnate as a field of flowers.
